The Better Person Network was founded in 2005 as a network of websites, organizations, and people that were too lazy and chang to do anything by themselves (which is why they banded together to form the Better Person Network).
The member organizations generally have nothing to do with each other. However, they somehow manage to get along with each other and run this website together (well actually this is Jordon talking about how idealism seems to rule over realism in all of our lives).
why better person? The name "Better Person" was a term coined by Sheldon during a period of his life when he felt obligated to teach morals to young, female freshmen floaters. Sheldon, unfortunately, was unsuccessful in this mission. However, the name "Better Person" stuck with him. Later, it was suggested by one of his friends as a possible domain name acquisition. Thus, betterperson.net and "The Better Person Network" was born: a network of better persons.
